He was preceded in death by his father Fred, mother Julia, beloved sister Mary Schelle, brother-in-law Henry Schelle, Jr., father-and mother-in-law Robert and Laura Tagtow, daughter- in-law Donna Bowar, grandson Laddy Christensen, and great-granddaughter Tyra Bowar-Choal. “Bill” Comp, 65, of Presho, SD will be am Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Presho. “Bill” Comp was born September 30, 1952 in Winner, SD to Corwin and Nellie (Hauschel) Comp.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to the services. He grew up in the Presho area and attended country school until moving to town school during second grade.
Returning home, he went back to work for the State Highway Department. He belonged to many organizations including the Town Board of Kennebec, Kennebec Fire Department, American Legion, Kennebec Housing Board, Disabled American Veterans, Korean War Veterans Association, Vice Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
In 1956 he went to work for Mertens Chevrolet, then in 1971 for Gilman Chevrolet and then in 1981 he went to work for Halverson Oil. His hobbies included spending time with his children and grandchildren, the Kennebec Volunteer Fire Department for 51 years, reporting and recording the weather for the National Weather Service for over 40 years, camping with his wife Gloria, and being part of the American Legion for over 50 years.
She looked forward to lunch with her good friends every Sunday after church and visits from her family.
Kevin attended grade school at Cooper School located south of the ranch. He was active in football, wrestling, and summer baseball.
He would drink his favorite “Coke” while refilling the pop cooler and doing odds and ends for Cassidy and Lowell Hieb.
He spent many hours shooting the breeze with the crew at the station.
She loved being a grandmother and especially enjoyed each of her great grandsons: Henry (6), Charlie (3), Jack (3 months), Miles (20 months) and Nolan (19 months). Wucetich, 79, of Orting, WA will be am Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Chamberlain with burial in the Reliance Cemetery at Reliance, SD.
Visitation with family present will be Friday from to pm at the Hickey Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain.
